Changes have been made between cPlay and Windows Kernel

Removed some overheads here (low level but affects SQ). I want to wrap-up 1.x series and was going through DSP for possible improvements (which I found) and address Xonar bug. Some small functionality was removed (will put back in next release if SQ not impacted).

Same bits but different sound is caused by jitter. As to predicting frequency response, that's impossible. cMP² overall design objective is to create a low stress circuit (this is fundamental to achieving ultra low jitter). Changing software (more efficient) and reducing L2 cache footprint (within reason) makes a big difference ito reducing both random and periodic jitter (see Jitter Paper). There's jitter frequency components that must be effectively managed - I've explained it here.
