How big is your WINDOWS folder after STEPPE?

I finished my new installation (all but the keyboard and cMP affected files deleted) last night.

I had started with a minimalist nLite install disk and then used XPLite, also. As an aside I found XPLite had to run numerous times to get the remaining stuff out of the way. I guess it gets confused bu stuff that is already missing.

When I finished I checked the size of my WINDOWS folder and in PROPERTIES it says 187 MB. I am curious what others who have got "here" get to see if there is any difference between using nLite or not.

One thing I can say is that many files are not there to delete with nLite. All the way up to #16.

This time I can get AWE to work!

I highly recommend using nLite just for the bloat it gets rid of from the beginning and the fact it disables WFP without having to do the hex editor
exercise. I prefer the WINDOWS CLASSIC simplicity instead of the XP look for this application. Another choice you get with nLite.

nLite is free. Give it a try.

Now to get to listen to it tonight.
