RE: we vote for SoX !!

Though I have come to like SRC in the latest version, as always in the past I have found SOX more to my liking. And even more so now.

SOX is more revealing here. SRC more "pleasing" and softer at the expense of detail. SOX can be more crude-sounding as it seems to be more truthful of the state of the system. Luckily, like THEOB mentioned, the aliasing has now improved to the point where it is a useful function. I found, to my surprise, that I can leave it on all the time and not feel cheated out of something, as I do with SRC after a while. It may not be SRC's fault...this is not an optimized system....just cPlay on Win 7 Pro.

SOX settings: small/AWE/phase Minimum/BW 97, with planar speakers.

At times, I suspect that SRC already uses aliasing by default. If so, this may be the reason for no switch.
