Yes, it happens to me too, but more on b38 than b39. It took me a few hours (10?) for b38 to open up and distinguish itself. For b39, I notice a favorable difference right off the bat, but it keeps improving during burn-in.

Purely on conjecture, I surmise that a new improved version would sent additional information through the system, new information that system had probably never handled before. Thus the burn-in period.
