RE: Day 3 impressions

'Elvis in Memphis' is one of the recordings that has always been excruciatingly bad on the digital medium. While the analog LP sounded fantastic- huge sound stage, many layered instrumentation, with Elvis voice well placed in the mist of it all-the digital versions on CD (I have multiple versions the latest being the Sony Legacy) had always been full of muddy echos where all the sound, including Elvis voice, like being in the next room, with the door closed. cPlay b39 is the first player which makes 'Elvis In Memphis' sounded right! Elvis is now back in the room.

In hifi terms, comparing with b38 which btw was fantastic:

-- better definition and articulation throughout the spectrum
-- the echo effect in the high is now gone
-- elements in the sound stage is now well proportioned with better perspective
-- better high and tighter mid base

Thanks cics for the continuing effort to improve what is already a great player.
