RE: cPlay - sox versus src redux

You do remind me that I have to give it and extended listen. I tried aliasing very briefly several versions back. I liked the extra smoothness but feared the buttery sound was more of an artifact that sooner or later would show its ugly side. So, I never left it on for serious eval.

This was early in the year. Now with version b39, one evening I switched aliasing on (SOX at tiny, minimum, 97) for a very "contrasty" Tango piece. Unlike my first time, the smoothness did not sound contrived. Since I was evaluating something else, I made a mental note for the future; gotta give it a good listen.

Tks for exploring and sharing!
