It is hopeless. I, too, found out the hard way

Did not realize that the CPU would be a problem, also, though.

There is not an appropriate MB out there for this socket. I should have asked Mihaylov before I wasted my money on re-stocking charges.

When you think about it the only thing the low wattage CPU does is make life easier on the regulator for the P4 connector. Not really a big deal, anyway.

The big trick with the linear supply for the MB is the 5 volts rail and that is not insurmountable.

One wonders if the Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H is the best we will ever have for use with PCI soundcards.

What is "Greg's" build? Do you mean power supply stuff?

Thanks for re-assuring me that my experience with the "new" processor was not a fluke.

Where does one sell a unneeded CPU? I need to get rid of mine, also.
