RE: has SOX improved ?

Hey DR!

Last evening, for the first time -- other than brief previous tests -- I tried 192 upsampling of 44 material. I always use 176 for being 4x 44. At 192, I only play the few "native" 192 pieces that I have in the computer.

One thing I found out is that SRC 145 @192 does not work with this computer (or I need to tweak for it, for it did before with b34/WinXP). So, I compared SOX and SRC 121. As far as I remember, it is the first time that cPlay (here, with this poor-man's outfit) captured me at 192 upsampling of 44.1 material.

Relative to my previous set of comments, SRC (now at 121) regained ground vs SOX. I liked both. Head-scratching weird but there was no beer involved. More hours this evening...

BTW, my friend got the Halo A21 for his B&W 802Ds this week. I'll be spending a few hours listening with him this afternoon. Check email late tonight.
