RE: Anyone tried Phase 180?

Unhappily, many CD's are recorded out of phase for 1/2 the systems such that a compressive sound becomes a rarefacation. This dates back to the fact that Ampex and RCA in the 50's used pin 3 as the positive while the Japanese used pin 2 of an XLR.
Some people are more sensitive to this than others. There are even many CD's especially early ones where the phase alternates with each track, and some recordings with multiple mikes where some of the microphones are out of phase compARED TO OTHERS. This leads to a dulling of the sounds, poorer soundstaging and flat nonpercussive bass.
It would be wonderful if someone could add an attachment to cPlay or cMP that wsould allow a reversal of absolute polarity at some stage of the preocess.
