RE: Allow for good burn-in time on new mobo and CPU

Theob,

Glad to hear you have gone to the 2.5" laptop HDDs. As I'd said in our last email exchange, I think that's a key part of your 'metallics' issue.

On the CPU cooler, I have a spare one I can lend you if you'd like to 'try before you buy'. I would recommend that one over the stock Intel cooler without a fan... you don't want to burn up a processor.

On the Juli@, I did some additional comparing of a stock Juli@ to the modified one. The modified one is more musical with a much more detail in the treble region while the trebles are in better balance (slightly lower in level) with the modified card than the stock card. I'm very impressed with the 'analog-ness' of the trebles right now. The midrange natural-ness is very impressive too, especially on voices.

I still haven't had the time to power the Juli@ from separate power supplies, but did make a few steps in that direction this last weekend by getting the supplies mounted in my cMP.

Hopefully this coming weekend will be a bit less crazy.

Greg in Mississippi
