RE: Do 16 bit files get converted to 24 bit when upsampling

Hey Erin,

Whenever you rip a CD, and thus converting it into a file on a computer, the file is stored at 24 bits.
The resolution is however still only 16 bits.

This applies to all computers and has nothing to do with upsampling.

This gives you the possibillity to use the digital volume control in cPlay util about 20-25 dB attenuation without any loss of resolution.
