ASIO driver is requesting a reset

Had a similar problem with Lynx. cPlay was changed to accommodate Lynx's ASIO driver (I could do this as I use Lynx AES16). Strangely, first time I install driver I got no playback issues but any subsequent play caused resets.

What are you using to output firewire?

Try following:

  1. Set cMP to 'Optimize Critical'
  2. Make sure you have enough CPU headroom: for E7200/E7300, minimum multiple is x8 when FSB is 170MHz and outputting 192k
  3. Check if WDM driver is operational - do this by playing via ASIO4ALL (set ASIO4ALL to use soundcard and you should be able to go down to 64 samples). Be sure to reinstall ASIO4ALL after doing Minlogon change
  4. Do a clean re-install of ASIO driver using Device Manager (may need to do same with firewire device). Make sure you have latest drivers
  5. Can you test using Juli@? If not, test using onboard sound hardware with ASIO4ALL
