RE: Stereophile Reaches a New Nadir

Oh dear, there a nadir involved here but, I contend, a different one.
Charles has a diametrically opposed philosophy to audio than Benchmark. He finds the use of opamps anathema, rightly or wrongly, and is taking this out on Jim Austin for liking a Benchmark product. Added to the recent insults because Jim wrote positively about MQA - another bone of contention.

Have a philosophical position on audio, even a very strongly held one, but if that position is based on subjectivity you have to be prepared that not everyone will agree. When you start nit-picking and insulting those that don't agree then that is a nadir.

ps. for the record the nadir of Stereophile, IMO, is this rant published under the guise of 'Manufacturer Feedback'
