This brings up another issue of protecting dealers and exclusive areas...

If a dealer wants to sell a product below MSRP they should be able to. If my dealer here in New York sells a pair of speakers for $1000 and I can get them cheaper in Syracuse, why should I not be able to buy the product in Syracuse. With service as poor as it is in NYC, going with a different dealer just to get real customer service is reason enough. In the scenario Bayside Bomber wrote above, there's no reason whatsoever a dealer shouldn't be able to sell at 30% off to move merchandise. Lower margins, higher volume...that's the way business goes. Things are changing for the better and McIntosh's ridiculous tactics show the company is so far behind. I will never even audition another McIntosh product until I see Ethan's issue addressed by the company itself.
