Well, it is typical..have a lawyer run your business..

versus anyone who cares about audiophiles. This guy will do more harm to the McIntosh brand than anyone and no doubt he may be fired after the dust settles. Anyone with any sense would know that the internet and particularily places like eBay, mustbe approached as buyer beware. It is up to the buyer to ensure what he is buying and from whom. No one I am aware of would assume there would be a warranty from anyone but a certified dealer. Price is adjusted accordingly. It is similar in tactics to the music business sueing their customers. I agree that McIntosh should post a disclaimer prominently on its website. It has no business horning in on a private business transaction. If they can do this then why not tell us what it costs to manufacture their equipment and what they sell it to their distributors for? It is like Denon refusing warranty coverage on non-dealer sales. So who sells these non-dealers their stock? Gotta make me laugh, did the units fall off a truck? Its either Denon or their precious dealers. Either way, someone knows something and pretends it isn't happening.
