Yes, to "sharpie" businessmen. They view warranty repairs as a pure liability. They look for ways to give a Long warranty for marketing purposes, but then find ways to undercut it every possible way they can. Been in meetings to do this. There is no sense of morality, or "gee, we collected a high price for this even tho we made a defective product, it's only fair we should fix it" to give the customer what they paid for. Just how to sell the units AND how cut all the costs as much as possible to some of these people.

That's why this is all a danger sign, to me. Need to know what type of people you're dealing with, and it's hard sometimes. The sharpies frequently buy up a company with a sterling reputation for quality and service, then milk it for a few years til word gets around, then dump it and move on. Don't wanna build something from ground up.

To me, there's nothing like a lot of the cottage industries who sponsor the AA, lots of good people and you can call the owner/designer and get them on the phone and get great service!
