DUILaywer and Lochrider were wrong....

When I suggested that the law firm was being over aggressive in pursuit of "offenders", they instead insisted that no attorney would do that, and that he was only operating under the direction of McIntosh corporate. Well, here we have (straight from the horse's mouth), evidence to the contrary:

"I check eBay daily, and if I find anyone advertising a McIntosh product in a manner which suggests that it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, whether by calling it "new," "new in box," "only xxx months old," or in any other manner, I require the same disclosure that I requested of you."

He says that *he* checks eBay daily. Not his assistant, and certainly not some "clerk or paralegal at McIntosh". Indeed, he personally is aggressively pursuing "offenders".

Furthermore (as some lawyers are prone to do, in my experience) he lets his profit motive overwhelm any sense of proportion. I mean, maybe he would have a leg to stand on if the ad said "new" or "new in box", but where the heck does he get the idea that "only xxx months old" implies *new*?

It's guys like this that give attorneys a bad name. Sticking up for guys like this also gives attorneys a bad name.
