RE: MQA CDs

Hi Charles,

Nice explanation. This MQA-CD thing has really been a mystery to me. As you said, the Redbook standard 16-bits and 44.1kHz. The only way I could think that they'd do it the way they do it is as you surmised -- bring the bit depth depth to 13 bits... maybe lower, like 11 or 12?

Somehow I wonder how this is a step ahead, too. Remember some of the earliest CD players, with 14 bits instead of 16? They became unsellable in not too long of a time.
