On Comparisons...

Hi,

More specifically to my point. You can find comparisons, but it's extremely difficult to find meaningful comparisons where someone has taken the time to ensure that the source files are the same. Lately, there's been talk of Donald Fagen's "The Nighfly," but then on Stereophile.com's website, I find a spot in the comments of a review where Charles Hansen, of Ayre, has gone and dissected the MQA and non-MQA Tidal versions and gleaned that they couldn't have possibly been derived from the same masters (see link below).

So, when we hear it's better, compared to what?
