Trying to drive Maggie 3.6's with a VT100 MKII would be impossible. You can believe all you want in specs. I listen to music. If it sounds closer to the live event that is proof positive that it sounds good.

Just last night I played the RBCD of the latest Dave Holland album. I just saw them live at Birdland and the RBCD sounded very close to the live show. Would a DSD recording on SACD sound better yes. No one is arguing with you but it's not available and will never be.

Teresa, no one is disputing that SACD and pure DSD recordings are superior to RBCD. The problem is that it's a format that is limited to new Classical recordings of which I have no interest. I don't understand why you can't understand that.

I'm a firm beliver in the DSD format, I utilize DSD to needle drop my best LP's and create a pure DSD disc for playable on my Sony 5400.

How can I put this so you will understand. There is simply not enough sales to justify major record companies to support the continual release of SACD. You are fortunate that your musical taste is available on SACD releases, but please stop the cheerleading of a non-format for most other music.

I started this thread because I felt that this unit was the best I've heard (there are obviously better units but I haven't heard them) on SACD and CD. Many are interested in units that perform well on both formats because they don't limit themself's to music that is only released on a specific format.
