RE: Try XPLite

XPLite allows you to completely remove unneeded or unwanted components from Windows after installation (and put them back if needed). My Windows installation for playing music has had everything removed. The tweak that uses "tweak.bat"(?) returns a "service not found" for everything it tries to reduce or turn off. Combine that with disabling every service you can, there's not much left of Windows eating resources. Combine that with Jack Wongs and Steppes(?) ongoing registry tweaks, my humble little netbook to hiFace to Esoteric DAC is awesome. I give 99% of the credit to that awesome vintage DAC, but the tweaks to the PC do seem to work.
