Sometimes tweaks can have a paradoxical effect. When I started changing priority levels in my SB-Touch I found that lower levels [that would be levels less than the highest priority] thinned out the sound. Backing the values down or [tuning] the values to optimal levels were needed to really get the best out of the Touch.The best thing [in Linux]to do is to make sure processes have different interrupt times by adjusting the priorities just above normal processes. Not necessarily to just arbitrarily max out the audio process.
Anyway, it sounded like you were satisfied with the sound pre-Fedelizer. Maybe you should just leave well enough alone.
