Thank you for this link on McDonalds - sound like they're copying Ford's theory of business. Who cares if the customers burn it'll be cheaper to settle out of court. I kinda wish the courts would get extremely touch on such offenses and give jail time to executives or the death penalty. Corporate crimes can kill more people yet we only go after the odd serial killer.

Ford should have been billed a trillion dollars payable the next day in cash with both their Mustang and Pinto handlings. And their decision makers fried in the electric chair on slow boil.

I don't mind mistakes but willing and knowing harm (or possible harm) by a company should be met with the severest punishments going. If I take a flamthrower and burn you I would go to jail forever or get death penalty(well not in Canada but anyway). To me the McDonald's / Ford exec should get the same.

Of course profit is more important than lives.
