"Why the hell else would they ask him to modify his ad..."

That's the question...we may never know. But, if there is a scintilla of truth to the original post, McWhatever should let this guy the hell alone. As far as the credibility question is concerned, why would this poster tell his story in this, of all forums, where, if he were glaringly and blantantly in the wrong, he would be overwhelmingly rebuffed and ridiculed by the cognoscenti here?

McWhatever has every right to protect their market and dealer structure by any means necessary under the law. eBay likewise should assure that their marketplace is free of scam and fraud by de-listing obvious exceptions not adhering to their posted rules of conduct.

At face value anyway, common sense tells me, and at least the majority of other posters here, that neither McIntosh nor eBay have any business dictating the terms and content of the ad.
