It is not only very accurate but it is so accurate it even reveals the glare of digital chips (which can be eliminated if you buy a magic liquid treatment to be applied to these chips; where to buy...from Mr. Moncrief of course).
BTW the inaccurate dsd format does not reproduce this glare so you don't need to buy the Moncrief magic treatment.
So my questions to Mr. Moncrief and to other AA inmates: 'Is he a blooming idiot or what? Is this diatribe funded by the dvda consortium in a sort of disinformation campaign to win the hearts of audiophiles, record labels et al at this critical time in the music industry when only one format will eventually win? Or are we asked to dis-believe our own ears and blindly follow this logic and buy into the pitch, the hardware and the software and forever be painting our chips to get rid of digital glare? Yea right! Audiophiles might do that but will Joe 6 pack? Or will he simply say ....no this one over here sounds better I think I'll buy it (dsd/sacd I you haven't figured out my preference)?'
A friend of mine often talks about a famous and very successful race car driver who was interviewed. During the interview the comment was made that the race car driver must be very smart to figure out how to beat everybody else. To which the famous driver responded '...no I am dumb as shit but I just try everything and use what works while the smart engineers waste time and argue over why something won't / can't work...'.I fully empathize with the race car driver. I'm dumb as shit and I just listen to everything and buy what sounds better to me. I'll let Moncrief/Lipshitz/Vanderkooi argue why it can't work while I enjoy my dsd/sacd music.
