SACD 2 channel versus CD, the sound differences on the best recordings are slight at most. That is, assuming the SACD and CD were mastered from the same source with similar intent on part of the producers & engineer.I have heard differences but I had reason to believe that the CD version was a pre-existing master, not made at the same time as the SACD.
Of course, on average SACDs sound much better than CDs, but this is only because the former are produced with the specific intent of creating superior sound.
