Re: Regarding this quote...

So how can reviews be thought of as valid? Do the reviewers not have many components in the same place at the same time? Why not invite another reviewer or a friend over and see what the device under review really can do? For my dollar an issue, I expect nothing less. I do have to admit, that if nothing else, the money is well spent, even if only for the pretty pictures. Please do bring have more spreads like that old ad with Kim Catrell and Mark Levinson (the man).

Not to mention, Stereophile's "examination" is not nearly as expensive as it is for us end users having to swap out components endlessly until we get that just right fit, thus perpetuating the industry.
