Have you seen JA's post re: his expierences with blind tests? Over 100 formal blind listening tests!!!!.

Seems to me you'd be hard pressed to find someone with more direct experience.

I wonder how that rates against your preferred guru, the fellow whose experience is mostly related to DBT work on codecs like MP2 and MP3 if I'm not mistaken.

Now, in JAs case I think it a safe bet that at least some reasonable portion, if not the majority, were conducted with home audio reproduction equipment. It would be interesting to know what your man used in his work. Might you be good enought to inquire?

OH, BTW, take a close look at JA's post. Seems he has personally demonstrated the ability to discern difference of the type that I would have thought you would have considered highly unlikely, if not impossible.

Ain't that something! How you planning to deal with this new information ... not planning to call him a liar I hope. LOL
