Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

Jon, please explain this bit of um... logic.

No one has shown with any kind of rigor or true scientific method, that John's measurements have an inherent problem or flaw. No one has actually duplicated John's measurements, using the same cables, OR the same equipment.

If the performance of a given piece of equipment is in question, please explain to us why one would want to try and repeat the results produced by that piece of equipment by using THE SAME PIECE OF EQUIPMENT?

And once you've explained that, I'd love to hear your arguments as to why a distortion measurement SHOULDN'T have been done using a piece of equipment that is DEMONSTRABLY BETTER.

Good God.

It's as if you've been taking pictures of Mars through a mediocre terrestrial telescope and showing everyone what appear to be canals but when someone finally comes along and takes pictures of Mars with the Hubbel space telescope and shows you their pictures and there are no signs of canals, you dismiss the pictures because they didn't use the same mediocre terrestrial telescope to take their pictures of Mars as you did.

Absolutely mindboggling.

Back in the John vs. Mr. Huyn thread a couple years ago, referring to John's Mac The Scope plots, Bob Crump said to Mr. Huyn:

Sorry if the graphs shake up your cozy little world...

What goes around comes around.
