Heard back from Bruno. The only other identifiable cable beside the Hisago is a Filotex KX 15 50 ohm cable apparently made for data connections rather than audio. And also apparently not available in the US.

I did figure out what he meant by "triple coax" with regard to the "cheap A/V" cable. He meant it's the type that has a combined L/R audio cable and a video cable. The kind made by any number of nondescript Asian manufacturers.

So I'll send Bruno the Radio Shack Golds as planned and see what turns up.
