Hmm, so two different people using two different systems measure 8 different cables. One using a 25 year old system, the other a state of the art system. One finds distortion on every cable he measures using his 25 year old system, the other, no distortion on any cable he measures with his state of the art system.Assuming this is a rather random sampling of cables, are we to believe that the fellow with the old system just happened to choose 4 cables that do exhibit distortion, while the other just happened to choose 4 cables that didn't? Wonder what the odds of that are...
If true, it would mean some cables exhibit distortion, and others do not. Wonder how you would explain that?
My money is on the state of the art equipment and an operator who hasn't invested his considerable ego in the results.
