Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

Though the point is irrelevant, you are right about it.

Expertise and arrogance are not mutually exclusive terms, nor are they collectively exhaustive (like this thread). Sometimes one's arrogance keeps one from accepting different points of view, or even seeing the error of one's ways. I wouldn't presume to judge the applicability of that scenario in jj's case, not having had enough interaction with him, but in Soundmind's case, there was enough evidence in the posting trail to support the conclusion of a closed mind through arrogance.

However, given that this is NOT the Amateur Argumentation Theory Society, but a simple blog more governed by conventional and supposedly convivial rhetoric, referring to someone as arrogant is just as valid a criticism of that person as questioning their expertise. It is actually possible to have an entire list of criticisms of an individual, and they don't all have to be connected! For example, a particular poster may be both arrogant, have atrocious grammar, and support Fascism, all of which are worthy of criticism.

Enough with this Pat. Your attempts to contradict my position have done nothing of the sort, so I predict that any continuation will be circular and meaningless, as a good portion of the previous posts has been as well.
