"Non-calibrated" describes the typical out-of-control sighted audition

Perhaps "out of control" is the best description!

Components heard in stores are compared with components heard at home, and components heard in other stores.

Components play music at different SPLs.

Listeners read favorable reviews and get excited about a component

Listeners read advertising and get even more excited, especially if the ad contains a pretty girl with big hOOters.

The salesman tells listeners how "wise" they are to want to audition the new Bozoman SET Blockhead Amplifiers, as they are, by far, the finest amplifiers in the world.

Then the listener listens to the Bozoman Amp in the Audio Saloon and is able to make an unmemotional sound quality analysis versus his own amplifer that is currently sitting at home collecting dust, and has never been heard in that store!

Out-of-control audio!

If you are critical of all blind evaluations, then you shoud just HATE all sighted evaluations!
