...even though I don't agree with it. I think the Universe has done quite well with giving us a simple yet reliable way to judge audio gear... our ears and our brain. We audition components the same way you audition speakers and we pick the ones best suited to our needs and sonic preferences. Simple. My goal IS simply to make a choice among the plethora of available equipment. My choice is the conclusion of A/B listening tests because sound is by far the single biggest determinant. I appreciated the jj threads you posted because, quite frankly, they solidified my position.Scepticism is fine and healthy, so long as it isn't followed by close-mindedness. The results of DBT's make you sceptical of claims because you're a believer in theory (or so you appear). I'm sceptical of DBT for audio gear - as well as the Intellichip, various tweaks and other areas of audiophile-dom because my experiences with such things tells me I should be. With cables, amps, preamps and the like, my experience tells me differently. With all due respect, I'll take my experience over your theory each and every time.
