Tyson do you have a minimum of 24/7 for 30 days on the 45 yet?
Not saying this would change your mind but the 45 does go through some dramatic change for the better whith a month or more of run in.It takes a month before I can turn the treble up to 0 for instance.
I have owned many modded cd players that had blackgates installed and the 45 takes longer to run in than any of them or any other gear I have ever owned.
Keep the Pany away from other gear as much as possible and no where near another switching power supply.
Mine has a bybee rigged pc,isolation, upgraded binding posts and power conditioning and did not even seem to start to come around sonically until 30 days minimum.
After all of this Ht is more resolving than the 8k pre/pro amp that it replaced for HT and I am in no hurry to have it modded for redbook but will do so eventually.
My all Scan Speak whith revelator speakers are not a difficult load at 88db 4ohm and they mesh well whith the 45 after run in and tweaks.
