I'm only going to answer one question for you in this post. Yes, there is a difference between the 230 VAC version and the 240 VAC version. They have different power transformers. See the post below labeled "I know that you guys mean well..." for more information.
I'm not going to answer any of your other questions because you haven't done the FIRST and simplest and most important thing that I asked you to do. I'll say it again:
DISCONNECT all of the connections from your DVD player to your TV. UNPLUG (from the wall) your TV and ALL other pieces of video equipment that you may have -- satellite box, cable box, VCR, DVR, et cetera.
ONLY by doing this can you figure out how much of your sonic problem is due to your audio system (setup or equipment) and how much is due to the RFI garbage that your TV is putting into your audio system.
Once you have done that, listen to your system and get back to me regarding how it sounds without the RFI garbage. Then we can figure out an appropriate solution to your problem.
