Apart from a brief blip in the 70s when magic cables first entered the mainstream of home audio and the audiophile sector had not fully formed and become disconnected from the technically literate I would be surprised if you can find anything but p*ss taking. Try talking directly to someone technically literate outside the closed audiophile world.
> a) Why don't these sonic differences show up in typical LCR measurements?
The change in the sound field due to LCR difference do show up in measurements at audio frequencies for normal stable equipment. If you disagree please cite something reliable.
Perceived sound is influenced by how the brain works. You may not believe that sound perception is influenced by a wide range of factors not directly related to the sound field at the ears but I am afraid the scientifically/technically literate do.
> b) What are the reasons why wires have unique sonic characteristics?
They don't have unique sonic characteristics. Please cite something reliable that indicates they do. It is quite common for an audiophile to perceive that wire B is better than wire A, wire C is better than wire B and wire A is better than wire C.
> As I've previously stated before, I'm not very technically oriented.
Indeed. Perhaps it is good that you recognise it even if you choose to believe what is thrust at you by those with a vested interest and disbelieve those taking the p*ss. (A contribution from AJinFla is perhaps appropriate at this point).
