Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

"I don't know why. I just know what I have heard." - Bingo

Lost track of you all the way down here Scotty.

Indeed it is.

No it isn't. You have no comprehension of statistical methods. Nor should you given your chosen profession.

1. Statistical data of DBTs has no bearing on variations in sound of cheap SS amps.

Statistical data has bearing on DBTs. SS amp or otherwise.

If I am wrong just show me the peer reviewed research you did.

Understanding and practicing the scientific method does not require published peer reviewed research. You should really look up scientific method to see what it is. You claim to have an interest in it in you spare time from your actual job.

No shit sherlock

No need to swear. Reflects poorly on your education level/command of English. Or accurately.

Again I have to ask how many times do you have to bang your head against a wall to know it hurts?

I can only rely on the data for this that you supply, as I have zero experience.

But they were level matched blind comparisons. Oops.

I see you have resorted to fictitious events like my state neighbor. Does this give you comfort? Have you convinced yourself to the point where you believe this event happened yourself?

I think you do.

That is understandable, given your affliction.

So it sounds substantially better than the SS electronics one can find from Yamaha, Denon and Adcom?

I have seen no data to support the subject of that question. Which makes it identical to your statements.

Yeah.

This is explained by your knowledge and comprehension of statistics.

I don't know why. I just know what I have heard.

Yes, I knew that. Sums things up nicely. I know why you heard it. I've even offered to help numerous times. But you become extremely angry at the thought of a solution.
Now were we talking about ghosts or stereo related sonic events? Doesn't matter either way. Help is available.

Did you not understand it the first time?

Understand what? That you had no point?

No. I did follow the objectivist method.

You cannot do what you are incapable of doing, even if you repeat that a thousand times. But I suppose you can convince yourself, as is evident.

Actually it is not uncommon for someone to have such a sudden change of beliefs.

Science education is not a "belief", so no, there will be no "sudden change" in your beliefs. Ever.

Indeed it is. I actually learned it.

No. Every post you make reinforces that.

I leanred enough about it to know that my methods of auditioning are not scientifically valid.

No. Your learned your methods of auditioning are not scientifically valid through interactions with those who follow the scientific method.

No I learned it at my high school and at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I took physics.

You seem to believe this. So does the story end where you failed physics and decided to do something more suitable, like makeup artistry?
"Taking" physics and other science classes and "learning" are two different things. Taking requires registration. Learning is reflected in you beliefs and subsequent posts.

I based a lot of methods on what I read in Stereo Review. That was where I learned about the objectivist methoidology.

Yes, that is exactly what I said. You learned from stereo magazines.

I did pay less but I also got less...No you got less. you just can't deal with it.

This argument with yourself is interesting. Please continue.

That was where I found the path to mediocre sound.

The path was determined by your prior education. The blame you are deflecting from yourself seems to be directed at this particular stereo magazine.

Blaming the price? Blaming what on what price?

Your psychological response to prior knowledge and triggers.

What does that have to do with understanding science?

The science of psychology? Quite a bit.

I don't doubt that your shitty sound is not a paranormal event.

Swearing and a belief in paranormal events reflects your education well.

Do you speak English? Yes i would and that means yes I would..You want to organize and finance it I'll be happy to participate.

Patients pay the Doctors for treatment, not vice versa.

Dunlavy did his tests in an anechoic chamber.

Not his tests. His demos vs instruments in front of listeners (behind an acoustically transparent curtain IIRC.)

I don't doubt your system may be able to play louder than mine. Not really an issue with most program material.

You fail to comprehend what this test would be. It would be a test of your system vs live instruments vs my system. Loudness would be one component of accuracy and realism. Very much an issue with the program material...and very amusing to hear the results.
I'm growing tired of all this typing now.
Later.

cheers,

AJ
