RE: The brain is not a computer

In 62% of the trials where an amp was compared with itself in the infamous Stereophile blind amp test,
"differences were heard" by the participating "golden ears",
when no A-B differences were possible.

A human mind has many biases.

If a listener has to know the brand / model component in use to hear A-B differences,
and can't hear them when the brand names are hidden,
then he most likely has a strong case
of the the audiophile "everything sounds different" bias.

I know, I know, -- blind tests are no good ...
yet you've claimed to participate in over 100 of them,
... so for what reason did you participate?
