RE: $1,000,000 reward!!

Repeatedly referring to Randi as an "old carny" (or some variation), as many posters here have, is both nasty and offensive. It actually hurts your case - why are you so vindictive if you simply think he's wrong?

I just had a look at his site and read some of the thread linked to below (which concerns a test of a psychic who claims to be able to decide by speaking with the dead whether a diary was written by a man or a woman). It isn't at all in accord with what people here are claiming about this organization - they seem to be taking the test very seriously, and are concerned that an error has been made in the test (some of the diaries are too old, which the psychic had specifically requested not be the case). It seems there will be a re-test to correct this.

I think these people are fanatics of a certain stripe. They are convinced that the world is a rational place full of superstitious people, and they are willing to risk $1,000,000 so long as the odds of succeeding by chance (or by some trick) are small enough.
