dbpoweramp will allow you to choose different levels of lossless FLAC compression. So choosing a higher level of compression will make the FLAC file sizes smaller and in general will not affect audio quality on playback*. But those highly compressed files will take dbpoweramp longer to create.
*Some folks claim that less lossless compression is desirable as it is easier on the computer during playback which should result in slightly better sound. My take on this is that unless you have a very old or wimpy computer, there shouldn't be a huge difference. And any perceived difference is not due to the size of the FLAC file itself but the ability of the computer to decompress it on the fly during playback w/o breaking a sweat. If this is a concern just create FLAC files with a minimal level of compression.
