Wow, the number of tricks you pull is amazing:
Talking down to me: "dear boy" "petulance" "giddy" "snit" and then claiming the moral (equating "honest" with moral here) high ground... are you George Will?Again, I just stated the question, you went off on a tangent.
1. The example I used was regarding Catholicism; somehow you started talking about Islam and goats. I've never seen goats in my church.
2. "Snit," as I said, I'm smiling about this; again... the subtle George Will-ian shift where you put me down by marginalizing my right to care and comment on something. I care about SACD and I'll stand by it; not to the literal death, but as a hobby about which I feel some passion. I think that's okay. Again, the primary poster is not required to walk gingerly, but I am. Not sure why.
3. As I said, I don't respect his "view" or his "conclusion" that he drew from his testing (you keep saying "opinion"). Have we suppressed speech so much that I cannot say I disagree - strongly - with his views? I'm not his kindergarten teacher, and I don't have to affirm his self-worth at every turn.
I respect his right to express an "opinion," but I disagree strongly (and with a smile!) about his "view" or "conclusion" and I assert herein my equal right to call him out on said opinion, using words no more harsh than he used. Should I suppress my "view" so as not to offend? Again, recall that I merely stated a question, a qeury, food for thought.4. My recollection differs.
5. I believe my ears, with or without blind testing.
6. I'm not familiar with JGH's take on SACD. "Incapable" is a strong word; wow. So the venerable JGH actually says SACD on my 555ES is "incapable" of sounding better than the redbook of the same transfer on my 555ES? Wow, if that's true it says more about his hearing than mine!
Still smilin'!
