as an aside: during HP's heyday dealers grew tired of the


"Preamp of the Week" mentality...and by the time the 80's drew to a close about half the high end dealers in the country were out of business and the other half determined that the days of having reviews determine their product mix were over. A few stragglers held on, but their stores began to look like museums..
