RE: Question

It is not 'polarity' itself that was the problem. It was the COMPARISON of the SAME record, with another preamp, with non-inverting polarity, that would make every comparison slightly 'off'. There are other factors that go into my concern about this review, but they are subjective or political, and while disappointing to me, I should have known better.
You see, I didn't need another review. I had 3 great reviews out there already, from competing publications, and I was personally asked to submit my product to HP. I even had to modify the unit that I sent him so that it would meet his loading requirements. This was not a bad thing, and I modified subsequent Vendettas the same way. I also followed up with other upgrades over the years, partially due to Harry's comments.
However, I was led to believe that HP had already heard the Vendetta through his reviewers (at least 3 of them owned a Vendetta on their own at the time) and that he liked it.
Politically, I had been told in advance to personally avoid HP and a review. I was very foolish to ignore this advice.
There is an old adage, something like: If you are making a product and selling it as fast as you can make it, don't risk another review. It can only hurt you, if negative, and not really help you, except for your ego.
I was overconfident, and was led down a garden path!
