I will stop being critical...

...when someone is actually able to stop me, till then it is business as usual. If critics stopped criticising because someone threatened or may threaten retaliation would be idiotic.

There have been many occasions where part or all of what I have said has been unpalatable to some. And they have tried to interject, in a variety of ways. Such attempts have mostly been unsucessful, except where previous editors have gone against my judgement (which is why I have moved on). But in most cases, what I initially stated did prevail. So I see no reason to change [in this regard], till change is forced upon me.
