Even though I do not agree with most of what you said, I do appreciate the honesty of your reply. All I wanted by publishing the original post was to expose something which is IMO terrible for the industry which I so love and admire.

Please note that my quotes of Clement Perry's e-mails were word-for-word accurate, as Clement Perry has himself admitted when he called me angrily following the post. Therefore, with all due respect to your knowledge of the man, I must stand by them. I can also say in reply to your questions that I was the one who originally contacted Mr. Perry, and indeed I was impressed by him as a nice person. This is why I was so shocked and surprised to receive the threats. However, after receiving several private e-mails from other manufacturers, I understand that I may not be the only one to be disappointed by inappropriate behavior on behalf of this individual.

As for your allegation that I am trying to defend myself in case of negative comments - you couldn't be more wrong: As you well-know, there are numerous audio publications out there. For every trade-show that we exhibit in, we get coverage from anywhere between 5 and 20 magazines worldwide. While I am proud to say that most are positive, there are always some negative ones (you can't please everyone). From my experience, both have roughly the same effect - they remind people that our products are available for them to audition. I have never sold a product based on positive coverage, just as I have never lost a deal based on negative coverage.

As for the tweeter - maybe you have us confused with another brand that once used Scan-Speak, as we have always used our own in-house-modified version of the Vifa ring-radiator.
