This is a fine idea. And I have never seen anyone run a comparison. The only thing I can think of is to write down the room temperature when the scan is done. I suspect the final data will be surprising as to how little it actually changes even though it should sound clearly better.
I'm curious as to the pliability of mylar over a range of temperatures. And, no, I've never tried to look for it.
