You are right that there are many uncertainties in setting up your turntable. It is not easy to navigate clearly through the maze of often conflicting requirements. And as I stated before, I am not after setting some rigid rules, but more after giving people better understanding of how things work. From there - it is your "free will"...For instance, if one simply does it by ear, that is fine for that person. In fact it may allow him to achieve the best possible compromise. Just know the alternatives and their implications, then form your own way.
