Just one last thought Victor.If your test records don't have the 1kHz signal at different spots on the records (lead in, middle and end grooves) may I suggest that you purchase the Shure test record I spoke of. I think you will be suprised if you do, in how impossible it is to even get a decent compromise.
By the way. In my original post I said that I went for equal output instead of best channel seperation. Apparently I went for best channel seperation in that I tried to make the output the same and lowest for both "Null Channels"
