Actually Al, quite the opposite. There is a reduction in overall noise. I am quite familiar with RFI induced meanies. I have used and am familiar with the Enacom and Walker devices so I am familiar with what they do to RFI induced issues. In many cases, e.i. the Audioquest biased cables, the so called charge is designed to reduce or reject RFI, but through application of positive voltage. Here the negative voltage, theoretically, does not actually do anything for RFI rejection.
I do hear significant increases in spatial imaging, and tonal textures however. Application on the video components impart a a definite increase in S/N ratio as evidenced by the sharpness in the black/white color boundaries.
I am wondering if that the negative bias is actually responsible for the effect. A further experiment with hooking up the negative terminal to an interconnect also leads to greater sonic attributes (not recommended for
XLR ends).Stu
